As one might guess, issues of gender are relatively rare in the complex, primarily due to lives new dangers. With the first assaults by the hostile aliean race(s), gender issues took a distant last place as Humanity pulled itself together in a tight defensive knot. Sexuality :

Sexuality in this time is surprisingly unchanged from our own, there's only so much to it, you know. The primary issue of same-sex relationships was solved during the invasion, where everyone was necessary irregardless of their orientation. This attitude has prevailed, and relationships of any sort tend to be accepted as long as both seem happy.
